History
In 1896 blacksmith Arthur James Stock and his family began building a reputation for making steel products that were tough and reliable. As the motor vehicle arrived, AJ Stock met the new demand, making the transition into the motor vehicle industry, building bodies and trays for trucks, buggies and trailers.
As the motor vehicle completely replaced the horse-drawn cart, the Stocks’ adaptability put them at the forefront of the truck body building industry.
More than 100 years later, AJ Stock is still at the forefront of the industry with a reputation of building the toughest – and designing the most adaptable – water tankers, tippers and trailers in the country.
Our specialist staff are capable of serving the transport industry and are skilled trades people with industry experience in general and heavy engineering. Everything that leaves our workshop is custom-made by hand and followed up with good old-fashioned service.
